United Radio Broadcasting 24/7 Streaming Internet Radio

DJ Agreement

i. United Radio DJ's Must Be Polite, Hospitable and Helpful at ALL Times, always put the listeners first, if unable to Help someone with a problem ask for assistance from another DJ.

ii. United Radio is for those tuned and should be catered for accordingly, an upset or disgruntled listener means one less tuned.

iii. If possible ALL Requests must be catered for... if unable to download a request see if another DJ may be able to MSN you the tune, better than saying no, again that could result in listener going elsewhere.

iv. All subjects regarding running of United Radio should be kept out of main #Radio room as People in there dont want to read about what goes on behind the scenes, they are in the room to have a laugh and listen to the tunes.

v. a. When the server is set to stream as no available DJ's are active arrangements should be made with person willing to take over streaming that a Live DJ is coming on air and stream kicked. b. If filling in server time and not atually scheduled to be on air then ANY willing DJ should be given the server. c. after every 2 hours a non-scheduled DJ filling a STREAM slot will offer & give up server to any other DJ willing to Take

vi. As a United Radio DJ I will agree to NEVER use Vulgar, bad language or profanities on mic.

vii. Not all songs of today are all ages, All DJs will make an effort to play songs that do not contain swears in them. This does not mean that a song with one or two swears is blacklisted. But Songs with Vulgar lyrics, racist slurs or lyrics, repeating lyrics of swears, and offensive lyrics shall not be played. Racism is seriously a questionable thing in songs, what some don't find offensive, others will. So its best just not to play them.
During requests you may find that someone has requested a song that fits one of those categories, If so please cut the song as soon as possible and remind the tuner we are not allowed to play those. If you are not familiar with a request, don't know it and are uncomfortable with it..."Don't Play It" then find a time to search the lyrics and check it out. Repeated Requests by one Tuner for songs with swears or racial content is grounds to be kick/banned!!!

New Rules For DJ's...whether Admin or Ops..

1) IF you can't make your set, you are to notify and get someone to cover

On the event that you are late for a set, it will be alright - life happens and not everyone can always be on time.

Also voting on any new subject..e.g new dj's
Voting should be strictly unbiased, if you cant do this, by all means put your points across,,
These will be considered, and then if you can keep your vote unbiased,vote,if not, you can abstain from the vote on that subject

Theres also an issue,where dj's wish to dj for other stations,this is acceptable as long as it does not interfere with your scheduled sets on United Radio, or your ability to DJ for United Radio!

Any DJ that is not on the schedule regularly & scheduled off, and fails to DJ within a two week period will loose DJ status and access

1. At least ONE of the current DJ's Must recommend you.
2. You MUST have been ACTIVELY involved with Radio room in Chat for at least 30 days or more.
3. Be at least 18 Years Old or Older. (may be flexible due to maturity)
4. Have a GOOD knowledge of mIRC Chat, WinAmp and ShoutCast.
5. A WORKING mic is essential, no exceptions.
6. A Broadband or equivalent Connection.
7. Agree to never offend,abuse, or slander any person who is in the Chat Room.
8. NEVER Say that you will do a set and not turn up without 1st posting on this Forum or in Chat Room.
9. Agree to ALL Rules & Conditions relating to Radio Server and Chat Room.
10. NO Passwords or any other sensitive materials be discussed with any 3rd parties outwith Radio Staff.

For people viewing this Forum, Leave a Post giving brief details about yourself, and myself or another Admin will get back to you as soon as possible. Well, okay... of course you guys know me -giggles- waves to netty Very Happy

I just turned 16 and uploading a lot of songs so far i have 800 songs x-x sadly i had more than that... but anyways... I love music and thought maybe i would give this djing a try *giggles* also have a mic -scared- ^_^ been active in the chat for about 1 year now -thinks- yeah IN june it will be a year *giggles* haha Very Happy

Hey management....DJ AzzA informing you that im available for permanant sets, ive dj'd for several different radio stations, including the old Vision Radio, very experienced, fast connections, large music database, Im on Australian time, so i would dare say it would be better for me to dj when you guys are sleeping, since we are in the future and all.....hit me a line back.
